The Weber Arts Council will hold its High Fashion High Tea fundraiser on February 4, 2012 from 4-7pm at the Eccles Community Arts Center at 2580 Jefferson Avenue in Ogden. The sale features clothing by top designers (Armani, St. John, Sonia Rykiel to name a few) at greatly reduced prices.
The clothes were donated by Kaye Woltman, a long time supporter of the arts and a great friend to the Weber Arts Council. Mrs. Woltman was a philanthropist and volunteer leader in several health care, educational and community service institutions and organizations. She was also recognized as an investment industry expert in tax exempt municipal bonds.
Mrs. Woltman contributed generously of her time, abilities and resources toward capital projects and programs which have had a positive influence on hundreds and hundreds of lives including students, professionals and underserved people. Great dignity, grace, humility, wisdom and high energy were hallmarks of her work.
When she learned she was dying she saw opportunities to do good with the many assets she had acquired in her life. A stylish woman who loved to shop and could not resist a bargain, Kaye offered these items (many with the sales tags still on) to help establish the Weber Arts Council. We are very grateful for her vision and generosity.
The Weber Arts Council is an Independent non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of Weber County residents by ensuring access to visual, performing, and literary arts and arts education. By assisting local artists, arts organizations and artistic endeavors, the Council works to connect the arts to daily life, education and economic development.
Tickets to the sale are $25 and are available from the Eccles Community Arts Center. All proceeds will help support the activities of the Weber Arts Council. For more information visit the website: www.weberarts.org
